Join in a Lifelong Commitment to TU

Lou Dollenger, TU class of 1974 and a longtime advocate for Towson University, passed away on March 9, 2017. One of the founding fathers of a local fraternity, Alpha Omega Lambda, Lou was instrumental in establishing the Joseph Ferrante Memorial Scholarship in 1998 to benefit a junior lacrosse player identified as the "unsung hero" of our men's lacrosse team. Lou faithfully served on the Towson University Board of Visitors and Towson University Foundation Board from 2010-2012, and on the Alumni Association Board of Directors from 1999–2013 in many roles, including vice president and president.

Lou received the Spirit of the University Award from the Alumni Association in 2012 and the Alumni Association Volunteer Service Award in 2004. A fixture at Johnny Unitas Stadium during the lacrosse season, Lou generously and enthusiastically shared his time, talent and treasures with his alma mater. Lou was TU's "unsung hero."
