Elizabeth Wainio Memorial Communications Scholarship A Project of College of Fine Arts & Communication

Honor Her Memory

Just six years after her graduation from Towson, the life of Honor Elizabeth Wainio '95 was cut short aboard United Airlines Flight 93 on the morning of September 11, 2001. Her legacy lives on through the memorial scholarship named in her honor, offering more than $10,000 annually to students in Towson's Department of Mass Communication and Communication Studies. Elizabeth's memory will last forever with her family and friends at Towson, and the scholarship ensures her memory will have a lasting place in the hearts of current and future Tigers as well.
