Dr. Ohoe Kim ASRM Award and Scholarship Endowment A Project of The Jess and Mildred Fisher College of Science & Mathematics

Build on Dr. Kim's Foundation

Since its inception in 1980, the Actuarial Science and Risk Management program at TU was stewarded by one man – Dr. Ohoe Kim. He helped lead the program to distinction as a Center for Actuarial Excellence – one of 15 programs nationwide and the only one in Maryland to earn that distinction from the Society of Actuaries. The program prepares students for their first four preliminary actuarial society exams and a career in risk management at banks, brokerage houses, and insurance companies. None of that would be possible without Dr. Kim's vision and continued leadership.

How Can You Help?

As Dr. Kim retired at the end of the 2015-16 school year, we gave him a great retirement gift: long-term, sustained support for the program he founded 37 years ago. Your gift, essentially, is a gift for Dr. Kim, providing scholarships for students. Make your gift today and permanently honor Dr. Kim's amazing lifelong impact on students!
